Description

QwikConnect™ ECM Adapter for replacing ECM 2.3 or Eon Motors in fan coil units to Evergreen® CM or ECM motors. Used with QwikSwap V3 (QT6104).

On one end of this adapter, there are two plugs (J1 for power and J2 for communications) that are meant to be plugged into an ECM 2.3 or Eon motor. For the Evergreen® Motor, the signals from J1 and J2 are connected to the proper plugs (P1 for Power, P2 for Communications).

Connect the QwikConnect to the Evergreen's PWM input solely (speed tap 1) in order to use all of the speeds available. The Evergreen will be able to adjust its speed automatically as a result. Connect the QwikConnect to speed tap 3 or 5 if you only want to run the motor at one speed.

Installation Instructions

Using a PWM motor speed control, a 16-pin communications connector, and a 5-pin power connector, confirm that the faulty motor is an ECM 2.3 or Eon motor.
Ascertain the horsepower, rotational direction, and operational voltage of the malfunctioning motor.
The appropriate Evergreen EM (115, 208, or 230 VAC) or CM (208, 230, 277 VAC) motor should be purchased to match the horsepower, rotational direction, and voltage. Install the substitute motor.
Connect the wiring harness of the malfunctioning motor to the J1 and J2 connections of the QwikConnectTM ECM Adapter cable after removing it from the motor.
Insert the QwikConnectTM ECM Adaptor cable's P1 and P2 plugs into the Evergreen EM or CM motor replacement.
Verify proper operation.
