PermaFlo Blue polyester non-woven synthetic media is a cost-effective and high-performance alternative to hogs hair filters and disposable pleated air filters due to its reduced initial resistance to air flow. Its air-lay web distributes fibers evenly, resulting in a consistent, high-strength, stiff, and long-lasting medium without the need for a metal frame.
Tests show stiff non woven polyester media effectively collects water and mist, keeping equipment dry without absorbing moisture or sagging in wet settings, according to independent UL-50 rain results.

How to clean your PermaFlo filter

When using water, start by backwashing the filter so that the dirt load on the opposite side can wash out better. Keep the dirty side facing down when placed in a sink, on the ground or grate.
Once all dirt is washed out, wait for the filter to dry. Do not use soap, only use water. Do not twist or fold the filter to drain. The media will not absorb moisture, which makes it easy to clean and dry quickly.
Another alternative is to use a shop-vacuum to clean both sides of the filter.
Stabilizing Frame For Any Filter Media

Galvanized steel metal pad stabilizing frames with an enlarged metal support grid on one side are offered. This can be utilized in air filtration applications that need changing out media pads. The air filter media is held in place by two criss-crossed wire supports, which are available with or without the filter frame.
