Permatron model HFA 1/2" deep frame is on of the best commercial washable electrostatic air filter available. It features a combination of woven electrostatic polypropylene, nonwoven polyester, and wire reinforcement encased within a galvanized steel frame. Ideal for hospitals, laboratories, and nursing homes that require excellent particle arrestance efficiency.
A unitized filter bank design is featured in Permatron's distinctive Accumulator Chamber® construction. To develop a triple action filtering system, multiple sets of steel framed media are combined with distinct separation. While resisting face loading, this prefilter/afterfilter assembly supports unrestricted air flow with outstanding dust holding capacity. Excess particles pass through the prefilter, causing agglomeration and settling until the filter is washed clean. There are no system upgrades or electrical connections required.

How the Accumulator Chamber® Works
Model IN (1" & 2") utilizes electrostatically charged fabric panels separated by two unique Accumulator Chamber produces a very effective three-stage air filtration process for residential applications.
The prefilter fabrics electrostatic ability enhances filtration by attracting and holding airborne particulates onto the surface like a magnet. Air flow maintains the prefilter static electricity and once particulates build up, it forces them to break off and collect in the Accumulator Chamber. Within the chamber the turbulence and electrostatic force causes agglomeration into even larger particulates that are too large to pass through the second panel.
The after filter (back panel) attracts and holds particles that escape the prefilter or do not respond to an
electrostatic charge.
