Cleaning Instructions for Humidifiers with HydroCore™

• Hard Water or HydroCore™ Hard Water Installation: Replace the orifice and clean the valve annually.
• Soft or Softened Water Installation: Replace the orifice and clean the valve every three years or as needed.

Step-by-Step Cleaning Process

1. Turn Off the Humidifier – Set the humidifier control to the off position.
2. Remove the Cover – Press the latch and detach the cover from the base.
3. Take Out HydroCore – Remove the HydroCore and brush away mineral deposits from the base.

• Prepare the Drain – Plug the drain port or lift the flexible drain line to form a trap.
• Soak the Valve Cup – Pour white vinegar into the valve cup up to the clean line. Let it soak for up to 30 minutes.
• Scrub Away Buildup – Use a plastic bristle brush to remove deposits. Drain the vinegar and flush with water.

• Replace the Rubber Seal Cap & Orifice – Swap the orifice and rubber seal cap with a fresh set.
• Inspect & Clean the Drain Line – If clogged, flex the drain line to loosen deposits. Flush with water or replace if needed.

• Reinstall Components – Attach the drain line, ensuring a constant downward slope. Install a fresh HydroCore.
• Test the Humidifier – Verify proper function before resuming operation.
