Important: Always disconnect power before installation. Follow all local plumbing, drainage, and electrical codes.
Mounting the Float Switch
• Clean the surface of the drain pan.
• Slide the float switch onto the pan edge.
• Secure using thumb screws. Do not overtighten.
• Ensure wires are positioned to avoid float interference.
Wiring in a Conventional HVAC System
• Disconnect power at the main panel.
• Locate the red wire from the thermostat’s “R” terminal.
• Cut the red wire.
• Connect the non-ribbed wire of the switch to the thermostat side.
• Connect the ribbed wire to the air handler side.
Wiring in a Communicating HVAC System
• Refer to the system’s wiring diagram.
• Follow manufacturer-specific instructions for integration.
• Ensure all connections are secure and compliant.
Safety & Maintenance
• Do not use on circuits exceeding 24 volts.
• If rapid cycling occurs, service the condensate drain.
• Install backup systems or alarms in critical applications.
• Keep the drain pan clean and free of debris post-installation.
