Gasket Installation Tips
When installing the gasket, the goal is to not use the handle to force shut the reservoir into place. Over time the handle can degrade by the heat and water minerals. Note there is no handle replacement.
It is best to remove the humidifier from duct and work on a bench as this procedure is rarely required. Make sure the channel for the gasket is free of any debris or pieces of old foam gasket type.
Use your finger or a tool with a smooth surface to push the gasket all the way into the channel and work your way around the entire channel. It should sit flush into the channel as seen on the attached photo bellow.
Using you hands only, push the reservoir tank into position and drain onto the solenoid. Only then you should use the handle to secure the reservoir in place.
