Power Supply with AFS for Trion HE Series

Retrofit 348818-001A as F858-0475 replacement

The Trion power supply 348818-001A with transformer 239071-008 can be used as replacement for power supply F858-0475. It does require some creativity and soldering to install inside a White-Rodgers power box. See PDF document for photo details.

Trion HE Power Supply 348818-001

The 348818-001 has been replaced by the 348818-001A. The original 348818-001 had a separate circuit board for the air flow sensor 248090-001. Photo below shows the thermistor on the air flow sensor daughter card.

The photo below shows the revised 348818-001A. The new power supply does not use an AFS daughter card. The AFS thermistor and circuitry is now included and mounted directly on the 348818-001A power supply board.

Trion HE Series Air Flow Sensor

The HE Series has a built-in air flow sensor. When the blower is running, the vacuum in the duct will cause air to be drawn in thru the hole shown below.

A thermistor on the back side of this hole will sense the air flow. The thermistor heats up to 130° and when cooled by air flow will power up the HE2000. Blowing in to this hole with a straw will also power up the unit.

Trion HE & SE Switch Wiring

Photo below shows the switch wiring for the HE and SE series. The Interlock and on-off switch is wired in series and connect to the power supply (348818-001). The orange wire connects to J6. The white/orange wire is connected to J7. Hover over the photo to zoom in.
