Red service indicator light for early models such as SC-500, 14C12H, 14C12V, 20C12H, 20C12V.
Mounts in 1/2 inch dia hole.
Electrical: 125 vac 1/2 watt.
Two 3/16 inch male spade terminals.
To test this light, simply connect it to a 120 vac. We measured continuity and saw no reading, an open circuit.
Very early power boxes had a neon lamp that would need to be converted to the LED indicator. The neon lamp fits in a ½" dia hole and the LED fits in a ¼" hole. A plastic bushing is included to adapt the LED for the ½" hole. The old neon wires are discarded and the LED connects directly to the power supply.
Also note the high voltage resistor used in these early power boxes is not needed with the new power supply. Discard the resistor and connect the red wire directly to the power supply terminal labeled Red High Voltage. The other end of the wire is connected to the contact for the cell.
